The Job The Senior Director of Institutional Giving (SDIG) will be a key partner to the Chief Advancement Officer and the institutional giving team’s Associate Director of Development, a leader on the Strategic Advancement team, and a member of the organization’s Senior Management Team. The SDIG will provide strategic leadership in service of OppNet’s organizational health and ambitious future, helping OppNet achieve its current $10.3M budget in FY22 by driving an aggressive revenue plan for all institutional giving (~$5M this year).
The SDIG will oversee a team of three full-time staff–the Associate Director of Development, who is a direct-report and who manages two Development Managers as well as a contracted grant writer-dedicated to maintaining and growing revenue from institutional donors, including private foundations, corporations with grantmaking programs, and formalized family foundations. The SDIG will be responsible for helping the team manage and build OppNet’s pipeline of engaged donors by implementing successful cultivation and stewardship strategies with compelling cases for support, grounded in strong research and relationship-building, to support OppNet’s annual and long-range goals.
This job requires strong skills in revenue planning and generation and savvy relationship development, as well as the ability to lead and mentor a high-performing team toward their professional goals while designing and overseeing effective systems across the team, leadership, program teams, finance, etc.
