Job Summary: Perform accounting functions requiring a thorough knowledge of accounting methods, principles and practices.

Duties: Perform accounting functions requiring a thorough knowledge of accounting methods, principles and practices. Broad understanding of overall company/divisional operations and procedures. Assists with the monthly closing of division books, inter-company activity & billing, and assistance in providing corporate financial information. Prepares monthly general journal entries. Preparation of monthly bank and various other balance sheet account reconciliations. Assist as required with special projects, audit, etc. Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial package. Enter payroll & payroll related journal entries. Sales tax remittance. Collection. Prepaid & insurance amortization. Prepare monthly various headcount and payroll reports.

Experience: 3-6 years experience

Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills
Builds knowledge of the organization, processes and customers
Solves a range of straightforward problems
Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures
Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction

Education: Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent experience in a related field.

Computer Skill: Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Working knowledge of ERP and Accounting software systems.

Other Skills: Problem solving, analytical, and good communication skills. Knowledge and experience with accounting systems and financial statement preparation. Financial statement review and general ledger experience.
